As a parent, it is your responsibility to teach and train your child for preschool. The task can be daunting at first, and you may find it as complicated as the mechanisms of childrens watches. Here are some easy ways by which you may be able to successfully train your child for preschool:

Tell Him What to Expect in School

Preschool children are naturally anxious about going to school, especially since they have to be away from their parents for several hours. Their mindset can be changed if their parents tell them what to expect in school. They can be told that they will meet new friends in school and that they will engage in different social activities that they will enjoy.

If your child is going to preschool for the very first time, tell him what he will do in the first day of classes. You can bring him to the school several days before the actual start of classes so that he can get acquainted with his new environment and so he will feel more at ease at the thought of going to school when classes come. This will make him more relaxed and not fearful of going to school.

Kiss Him Goodbye

Your child may become restless once the first day of school comes. After all, this is likely his first time to be away from you. Instead of sneaking out of his sight, kiss him goodbye. Making a formal and unique send-off practice should appease her. You can also tell your child that you will be the one to fetch her from school.

Give Your Child Assurance

Children need to be assured that their parents will be there when they need them. Ask Your Child to Follow Directions

Preschoolers need to pay attention and follow instructions well in school so that they can participate in activities and understand their lessons. You can train your child for such requirement by doing a simple activity. Ask him to sit down, close his eyes and pay attention to every sound he can hear at home. This exercise will teach him how to recognize sources of noise and how to follow instructions, something that he will find handy once he goes to school.
