Freelectron collaborated in upgrading electrical SCADA at KLIA |

Freelectron (M) Sdn. Bhd. successfully partnered and collaborated in upgrading the electrical SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Malayasia. The project was successfully completed and handover to Malaysian Airports on 22th July 2011. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) serves the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, and is one of world’s largest airports. It is also Malaysia's main international airport. The airport is managed by Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), a Malaysian airport company responsible for managing the majority of airports in Malaysia. This project represents Freelectron trustable partnering and reliable SCADA solution provider. KLIA’s new electrical SCADA system is based on OSI monarch™ SCADA (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform. “It is always challenging to upgrade an old running system to a new version without any failure and shutdown on the stations, but by Freelectron collaboration and engineering support in this project it became possible. In fact, we have used Freelectron supports for years in KLIA.” Said Mr.Rahmat Taib , MAHB facilities manager. Freelectron has come about through many years of project experiences and services in the PLC/RTU and SCADA solution in Malaysia.
