From all the activities EC Malta English School offers, students sometimes feel they need a holiday just to recover! EC not only provides excellent lessons, but also runs a comprehensive social programme. Students are encouraged to make the most of their time in Malta with programmes offering a good mix of cultural and leisure activities. History drips from the walls of the narrow cobbled streets winding through the enchanting capital, Valletta or to the walled Medeveal city of Mdina where no visit is complete without stopping for coffee and chocolate cake at Fontanella with its sweeping views of the island. Students can chose to explore the tiny fishing villages, watching traditionally painted bright boats bob lazily in the bay, as local fishermen sell their freshly caught hauls in the market square.
Malta is also, of course, a place of stunning natural beauty. EC is proud to take students on boat trips to Malta’s sister islands Gozo and Comino. Here they can swim in crystal clear water and marvel at the ancient landscape and rugged cliff faces. The ‘Comino by Night’ tour, run in the summertime, is always popular as the location gives off a spellbinding aura in the darkness under moonlight.
